Alesha is the one with the white bonnet

Today I got to go with Alesha's class to visit the Lochiel : One Room Schoolhouse. What a hoot! Miss Lomas, the school teacher, is very strict and even some of the parents got in trouble for eating an apple before class and giggling in the line ups.

Here is Emily's mom (Michelle) getting in trouble for wearing lacquer on her nails. (she actually called her a 'hussy'. It was so funny.)

Miss Lomas gives the kids a lesson similar to one in 1924 which included some math drills. She tested them and when Alesha was asked to do the 3 times tables she couldn't do it fast enough, so Miss Lomas brought Alesha to the corner to wear the dunce cap. (Alesha was forewarned by her teacher that this would be happening and was quite excited. Coincidentally, when Andrew was in grade 3 and they went to the school, he got to wear the dunce cap...makes a mother think???!!! I was going to say it's not from my side...but then I had to look up the spelling of the word dunce...so...maybe a little from my side ;))
