Last week I got to enjoy Andrew's first Middle School Christmas Concert. This is his first year in the band and they played during the prelude of the Concert. It was so surreal to watch my son play trumpet. He looked so grown up and was definitely enjoying himself. I think it's so great for them to be a part of a community, all playing together, making (mostly) beautiful music. I didn't think that the first week he brought that trumpet home! Wooh, that was a long week! But his band teacher has been working hard with them, and he had been (mostly) faithfully practicing and they sounded great!
